This video is the story about my firsthand experiences with racism, and my personal awareness of who I am and the ways I am treated because of my Blackness. I highlight the experiences I have had as a young black, Somali, Muslim woman growing up. Through my visual story, I hope that those who are privileged feel compelled to speak against racism even though they might not face it in their lives. I also hope to give those who do face racism a voice, and to encourage them to speak out.
