time
Use a.m. and p.m. followed by the time zone if needed for clarity. (Examples: 7:30 p.m. PT; 4:00 a.m. Pacific Time). Either PT or Pacific Time is acceptable. When referring to Pacific Standard Time (PST) or Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), note that PST begins the first Sunday in November and ends the second Sunday in March. DST begins the second Sunday in March and ends the first Sunday in November. In most cases the shortened abbreviations, like PT and ET will suffice.
Abbreviate hours (hr.), minutes (min.), and seconds (s.) when giving a specific time. (Example: The video is 5 min. 7 s. long.) Spell out the period of time when expressing approximations. (Example: You will spend approximately three hours per week on this course.)
