Typically used as a verb. Can be used as an adjective (role-play activity). Avoid using as a noun.

Correct:

• Let’s role-play this scenario.
• Use a role-play activity to practice these techniques (role-playing also is ok).

Incorrect:

• After the role-play, we will take a break. (Use role-play activity here.)
