Production and Product Development
Product Descriptions
Cultivate Learning produces a variety of products. Refer to this section to understand some of the products we produce. Use specific guidelines by product type to create quality materials. Please see the Partnering with the Resource Development Team section.
Courses
Courses are semester-long, higher education, undergraduate courses. They consist of syllabi, presentations with notes for lectures, learning activities, assignments, readings, and video examples.
Course book
Course books are edited, PDF versions of lecture notes. They are designed for participants to have as references once a course is complete. Think of course books like an in-house developed textbook.
Facilitator Manuals
Facilitator Manuals are written as notes and directions for a trainer or facilitator of a training. They include materials to prepare ahead of time, explanations of content, and directions to facilitate activities. Refer to the Brand Lines folder inWebDam for specific templates that may be useful.
In-Service Suites
In-service suites are designed for busy educators who have to fit their professional development in small pockets of time. In-service suites consist of a video highlight that offers an overview of the topic, a slide presentation, presenter notes, learning activities, resource lists, tips for teachers, and supervisor tools. The suites also can be delivered with other training or expanded to several hours.
Modules
Modules are training sessions on one topic and last about three hours. They provide either a high-level overview or in-depth coverage of a topic. Modules consist of PowerPoints, notes for presenters, learning activities, resources lists, and video examples. A module can be delivered as a stand-alone training or incorporated into another training.
Toolkits
Toolkits pull together a variety of materials related to one topic. They tend to fill in the blanks on a subject area and consist of many parts. They can have short and long PowerPoints, presenter notes, application activities, video examples, and more. The parts of a toolkit generally stand alone or can be combined to serve as a training, or complement other trainings that might need a “boost.”
Workbook
Workbooks are a set of activities to be completed during a training. They are collated in one place and often include additional resilience and wellness tips and activities to engage in during the training.
