5 Engineering Library

The Engineering Library is in its own building between Loew Hall and the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building (currently under construction), and across Stevens Way from the Husky Union Building (HUB). Its proximity to the College of Engineering makes it a popular study spot for aspiring engineers, but all students are welcome to use the Engineering Library.

On the first floor, you’ll find computers, printers, scanners, lots of tables that you can write on with whiteboard markers, moveable furniture, comfy chairs, and hanging outlets to power all your devices. At the first floor help desk, you can check out books and computer adapters, pick up whiteboard markers, and get expert research help from engineering librarians.

On the second, third, and fourth floors of the library, accessible by stairs or elevator, you’ll find the library’s extensive collection of engineering journals, books, technical reports, theses and dissertations, and more. There are also eight reservable group study rooms with video screens, whiteboards, and nice views.

The third floor has a computer lab with software like Autodesk, Labview, Maple, Python, R, and Solidworks, and the fourth floor features a cool cantilevered study space that is literally hanging from the ceiling, and some of the best views of Lake Washington on campus.
