Summary: Join the Revolutionary Minds Society to uncover the legacy of the Scientific Revolution. This immersive, narrative driven inquiry invites students to join an exclusive society of scholars dedicated to unraveling the groundbreaking ideas that forever changed our understanding of the world and our place within it. During their travels, “apprentice scholars” will hone essential skills such -evaluating the credibility of sources, analyzing the profound impact of ideas and technology, and crafting compelling, evidence based arguments that bridge the past and present. Guided by scaffolded modules, scholars will evaluate dynamic sources like Glileo’s “Siderus Nuncius,” unlocking their critical thinking skills to answer the big question: “How do ideas and innovations shape the world and how we see ourselves?” With swift and personalized feedback, and open communication with families, this dynamic experience fosters teamwork, sparks curiosity and inspires a long-lasting love of discovery and innovation.

What I learned from my  Savvy Start Activities: I learned that it is okay not to get things right the first time and that roadblocks aren’t the end of the journey- they are simply opportunities to explore new avenues and ideas. Every wrong-turn or dead end has taught me something valuable, and I have come to embrace these moments as part of the creative process.

Feedback: Based on my feedback, I switched from a hybrid model to an asynchronous one. I felt this change brought greater cohesion to the lesson and allowed for a more narrative-based approach to this inquiry which made the experience more engaging. The flexibility of this format also provides students with the opportunity to explore the lesson at their own pace and make meaningful connections with the materials through reflection and discussions. The narrative based- approach is more immersive and does a better job of helping students stay motivated and appreciate the relevance of the historical significance of the Scientific Revolution
