Part 3: Begin Implementation Planning

Chapter 10: Additional Resources

Learning Objectives

  • List Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Resources for curriculum development.
  • List existing curricula resources that may be useful to educational partners to address gaps in BHSS curriculum.
  • List resources under development and scheduled to be available in Academic Year 2024-2025.

Chapter Overview

The next stage of curriculum development after the Implementation Guide is an Educator’s Guide. The Educator’s Guide will be robust in guiding faculty on course and module development and more importantly providing links to resources, many developed by the BHSS Project Team to enhance student learning. At present, we are listing a sample of books and technology resources that may be helpful in conceptualizing the implementation of new learning objectives.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Resources

The BHSS Project Team strives to deliver content through an equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) framework. This section provides resources for developing behavioral healthcare curriculum through an EDI lens. We believe the process for designing an EDI framework is dynamic and requires continuous improvement and resource sharing. Your program may already use resources that support incorporating EDI principles into curriculum and instruction; this list is intended to provide additional resources to consider. The BHSS Project Team will refine and add to this list as we develop the Educator’s Guide and V2 of this Implementation Guide.

Available

Curricular Materials

Resources listed under available are generally for purchase through third party vendors unless otherwise noted. The BHSS Project Team has created some resources with other materials under development. Open-source materials will be labeled as such. Materials under development are usually materials being developed by UW subject matter experts that will be available either through the Educator’s Guide or through another medium such as a Canvas module.
