Information on Wi-Fi and Classroom Technology

As a UW medical student, most of the systems and websites you will access will be through UW services like Canvas, Elentra, eValue, etc. When it comes to the physical technology, our site is supported by Gonzaga University. Wi-Fi, classroom technology, and other physical devices you might use are serviced by Gonzaga. Therefore, you will need to access these services through your Gonzaga username and password.

Wi-Fi at the Health Peninsula

You have two networks that you can access:

  • Gonzaga Community
    • To access the Gonzaga Community network you will need your Gonzaga username and password.
  • Gonzaga Guest

The SIERR Building has classrooms that we lease. In those rooms you have access to the above networks. If you use the common space in the building, you will need to access the non-Gonzaga Wi-Fi networks in the building.

Classroom Technology

You may need to log in to the classroom audio and video technology. The most common reasons for this would be a student interest group session where faculty may not be present. To access the room computers you need to use your Gonzaga University username and password. In the past, some students have chosen to watch something non-educational in the classrooms (e.g., movie, TV show, sporting event, etc.) If you choose to do this, please make sure what you watch is appropriate for a public space and you put the room back the way you found it. Sean Collins is the main contact for the classroom technology. Reach out to him if you have questions about using the classrooms.
