Study Spaces

A committee comprised of UW and GU students meets to make student-centered decisions about various facets of shared building use. If you have any building related concerns, please contact your Medical Student Association (MSA) representatives

Study Spaces Handout

840 Building Shared Spaces:

  • Study nooks (the study areas without doors): ALL study nooks in the building are shared spaces for all and are not reservable.
  • Common areas: Thomas Hammer Cafe / Lobby, 3rd floor outdoor deck, 3rd floor meditation room (southeast stairwell), and 2nd and 3rd floor elevator landing areas.
  • Ping pong room (335A): This is a Gonzaga room. The ping pong table came from UWSOM and Gonzaga kindly offered room 335A because it’s currently an unused room. Please be gracious guests while using the room. Don’t remove furniture or bring in other furniture; clean up after yourself; and challenge those undergrads to a game!

UWSOM Only Spaces:

  • Anatomy suite – lockers, changing rooms, classrooms, and lab
  • Student lounge (2nd floor)
  • 840 Classrooms: 212/213, 214/217, 223, 225, and 228
  • SIERR Classrooms: 111, 115, and 118

Study Spaces on the Gonzaga Campus:

There are several areas available for quiet study on the Gonzaga campus: Foley Library, Chastek Law Library, Hemmingson Center, as well as other locations found in this Gonzaga Bulletin article.

To reserve a study room go to schedule.gonzaga.edu. After signing in, look to the left-hand bar and click “Create a Reservation“.

If you need help finding space, please contact Debbie Green at dg46@uw.edu.
