- Scientific name: Ranunculus occidentalis
- Also known as:
- Ideal planting time: Sow in spring after last frost or in fall for following year
- Blooms: Early spring through early summer
- Light: Full sun to partial shade

- Size/color: Bright yellow, clumping flowers, several inches to maybe a foot high

Growing & Seed Saving Tips
Wildflowers should be planted on loose, bare soil that has been well cleared of weeds and debris. Press gently into bare soil and keep damp until seeds germinate and for several weeks after. Western buttercups blend well into grass and clover lawns.
