Growing & Seed Saving Tips
“Sow indoors for transplant 8-10 weeks before last frost by pressing seeds shallowly into soil. Germination may be slow and erratic, and usually occurs in 14 – 21 days when soil temperatures are 65˚F. Transplant to 6″-10” apart in full sun. Perennial.
Seed Saving
Cut seedheads when seeds are dry, thresh by hand, screen and winnow to clean. Some cross-pollination may occur, isolate from varieties of the same species by 1/4 mile.”
