Learning Gap: As someone teaching unconventionally my training environments came with prepared training materials.  I found myself often not responsible for writing out objectives. A few summers ago during COVID-19, I took on a voluntary project to build an online 4th grade class with some parents I once nannied for. This is where I noticed that I was not used to writing objectives. Even though these were simple objectives, I lacked the fundamental knowledge, until I decided to do more research and find out how to create simple objectives for lesson plans.

Project Description: My course helps newer instructors or instructors needing a refresher on how to build simple but effective objectives utilizing the top two methodologies. They can apply the skills learned to lesson planning for a traditional or virtual learning environment.

Personal Growth: While attending the E-Learning program I have learned how impactful the right tools are to Instructional Designers. We have dove into so many theories on how and why we create courses the way we do, how learners can process our course materials based on the layout of media, writing, and audio, down to the iD tools I have used to create my final project. There are so many things I will walk away with after attending this program but I believe the most important is that I have a stronger understanding of what it means to apply yourself as an Instructional Designer.
