Before the Block (Course Preparation)

All block planning is done in the 9 months leading up to the block start. Thread/Theme planning occurs in every block and utilizes the information gleaned during the previous iteration of the block’s evaluation (Lessons Learned) process. Thread/Theme Session Learning Objectives (SLOs), schedule, assessment, content, and other associated tasks are completed during this phase. This phase is highlighted by three milestone meetings: Lockdown, 2-month check-in, and 1-month check-in.
