Health Impacts

This section focuses on the various ways that climate change has an impact on human health, as well as ways that we can further protect our environment. In the first part of this section, you will see why health impacts are an important part of climate justice: “Climate Justice and Health impacts.” In the second part of this section, you will learn how the urban heat island effect influences the perception of quality of life: “Urban Heat Island Effect Impacts Human Health”. Finally, we will discuss the benefits of forests and how socioeconomic status and race impact the accessibility to these benefits: “The Health Benefits of Forests Between Race & Socioeconomic Status”.
