INTRODUCTION

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (CNS). Multiple sclerosis is characterized by two important characteristics: (1) multiple neurological symptoms and (2) plaques see in numerous areas of the brain and spinal cord. Although MS was first described more than 100 years ago, the cause is still unknown and a cure is still unavailable. Many advances have been made in treating and managing the disease.
