47 Forming foams

Foams are used in P&O for skin protection. They may be adhered (i.e., glued) to the plastic or formed over a mold. Examples include prosthetic foam liners (pelite liners), foot orthoses, fracture orthoses, Charcot boots (CROW), and spinal orthoses.

Below is an example of forming foam over a foot model.
