3 Work Plan

Topic and Goals

Overview:
What was the impact of the Scientific Revolution?  is a single, inquiry-driven lesson exploring the societal impacts of the Scientific Revolution, developed for a 10th grade World History course. Designed within Articulate Rise 360 as part of a broader instructional unit, the lesson immerses students in the era’s transformative ideas through interactive elements—including a dynamic simulation—that challenge them to examine how scientific discoveries disrupted traditional beliefs, reshaped institutions, and altered perceptions of the world.

Grounded in best practices in instructional design, the lesson features clearly defined learning objectives, aligned assessments, and interactive strategies that promote critical thinking and historical analysis. This practicum project demonstrates the application of curriculum design principles within a real-world educational context, incorporating mentor feedback, iterative development, and reflective practice to produce a standards-aligned, student-centered learning experience.
