Topic and Goals:
Title: INT 2501 Introduction to Theological Education
Course Description: This course focuses on enculturating students into the language, customs, tools, and goals of graduate theological education. Students will be introduced to the information world that represents theology and cognate disciplines, individual works within it, and the ongoing conversations that make meaning in and beyond it.
Course Learning Objectives: By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Cite the contributing work of others in their own information production.
- Contribute to disciplinary conversations at an appropriate level.
- Generate research questions of apt scope.
- Differentiate the major sub-fields of theological education.
Platform/Technology: Populi LMS (as primary, other integrations possible)
Project Scope: Semester-long largely asynchronous course (Note: CELID Studies are being underwritten by my employer; time spend on practicum is work time. Rollout: Fall 2024)
