3 Work Plan

Moving into the development phase of the ADDIE model, I’ve created a detailed work plan that outlines the core elements for the first module of “JobWatch: Decoding Company Legitimacy.” This plan outlines the creation of assessments, instructional content (covering search techniques and common red flags), engaging practice activities, and a valuable feedback survey. Additionally, the plan incorporates a clear timeline for completing this project.

JobWatch: Establishing a Company’s Authentic Website

Overview

I am working on a course that is based on my experience as a trainer with a well-known job board when I worked as their trainer for their fraud analysts. The course consists of four modules, and I will be developing a storyboard for the first module, Establishing a Company’s Legitimacy. Here are the learning objectives:

  • Identify techniques for verifying a company’s website’s legitimacy through a Google search.
  • Identify the common domain red flags being used on potentially fraudulent websites.
  • Utilize advanced website verification skills to confidently evaluate the legitimacy of company websites during a job search.
Proposed Elements
Course Outline
  1. Course Introduction: This section showcases what learners will see upon landing on the course in Rise 360.
  2. Pre-Training Assessment: Here, learners will encounter instructions for the pre-training assessment activity, along with a sample question to gauge their prior knowledge.
  3. Google Search Techniques
    • Searching a company’s legitimate website using the different Google search techniques: A video placeholder will be included in this section, along with a detailed description of the search techniques covered in the video.
    • Practice Activity: This section will showcase sample question types and provide example feedback.
  4. Common Domain Red Flags
    • Identifying the common domain red flags: Learners will be exposed to visuals that illustrate these red flags, along with relevant examples
    • Practice Activity: Domain Name Analysis
  5. Additional Techniques to Verify Website Legitimacy
    • Advanced Website Verification Techniques: Learners will be presented with additional tools they can use to verify the legitimacy of a company website, such as: BBB Scam Tracker, VirusTotal, WhoIs, etc.
    • Practice Activity: Evaluating Websites Like a Pro
  6. Post-Training Assessment: To evaluate learning outcomes, a post-training assessment focusing on identifying domain red flags will be presented. This section will also specify the passing score and the actions taken if a learner doesn’t meet the threshold.
  7. Tell us what you think: The learning experience concludes with a “Tell Us What You Think” post-training survey, allowing learners to provide valuable feedback.
Timeline
  • Initial Storyboard Completion: June 9
  • Revise and finalize the project: June 23
