1 E-Learning Proposal

Analysis

My proposal hits the Analyze part of ADDIE by laying the groundwork and knowing where training is needed. After an assessment was done in the field by stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts, it was decided that they partner with the Talent Development department to create training focused on Loss Prevention strategies for Store Managers at Travel Stops in order to help reduce lost and protect product.

Part 1: Project Scope

The course is three learning modules with interactive Computer-Based Training (CBTs), Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), and interactive activities ending with a final exam and observation. This program will be delivered via an LMS and will be asynchronous, allowing learners to work through the course in their own time.

Part 2: Background

  • Gap: The training was created due to the rise in loss and theft at our Travel Stops. This learning program will focus on the essential skills Store Managers need to be proficient in to run a store safely and effectively while minimizing loss and theft.
  • Audience: Store Managers of Travel Stops
  • Training Goal: The training goal of the Loss Prevention training program for Managers is to educate them on their responsibilities, enabling them to identify key aspects of their role to ensure store safety and minimize theft and risk.
  • Main Assessment: Final exam incorporating information taught in the module. Learners may use past resources as guides.

Part 3: Design Approach

  • Format/Structure: Asynchronous; self-paced.
  • Possible Technology: Articulate Rise 360

Part 4: Implementation

  • Context (where, when, how): The learning module will be delivered to learners on the third week of their role through a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Org Considerations: Create the training in a way that allows learners to leave training at any point, and pick right back up when able. This will allow for Store Managers to put out metaphorical fires when required.
