3 Work Plan and Summary of Work Accomplished

Introduction to Development

The Work Plan represents the second D in the ADDIE model, Development, by outlining the timeline, tasks, and tools needed to build the course. It helps keep the project on track by breaking the work into clear steps and assigning responsibilities. The Summary of Work Accomplished complements this by documenting progress and key milestones, providing a snapshot of what has been completed during development. Together, these tools ensure the course is developed efficiently and stays aligned with the design plan.

Work Plan

Topic and Goals

My practicum project focuses on creating a prototype e-learning module for a Conducting Effective Interviews course. This course will help hiring managers at Jubilant HollisterStier carry out interviews with confidence and consistency. The goal is to equip managers with the skills to conduct structured, legally compliant interviews that improve candidate experiences and reduce organizational risk. The full course will eventually be 15–20 minutes long and fully asynchronous to accommodate the needs of a 24/7 manufacturing environment. For this practicum, I will develop one unit of content on behavioral interview questions.

Proposed Elements

By June 2025, I will complete the following deliverables:

  • Text-based storyboard/curriculum plan for the behavioral interviewing unit
  • Prototype of one unit of content developed in Articulate Storyline
  • 5-minute presentation summarizing project context, analysis, design, and showcasing a sample of the unit

My proposed presentation on will include approximately 9 slides, organized as follows:

  • Introduction: Project background and goals
  • Analysis: Target audience, problem statement, and learning needs
  • Design Approach: Storyboard development, choice of Articulate Storyline, and accessibility considerations
  • Interactions/Activities: Screenshots and walkthroughs of elements from the prototype (e.g., informational slides on behavioral interviewing, interactions, branching scenario)
  • Implementation Context: How the course fits within organizational systems and goals at Jubilant HollisterStier
  • Conclusion – Reflections and lessons learned from the design process
