Savvy Start

The Design phase helps to get a better idea of the structure and visualization of the training course. This course provides any internet user with the necessary information to prepare a Chilean-style hot dog called Completo. This content seeks to share aspects and cultural traits of Chilean society. In general terms, the structure of the content corresponds to informative sheets about the ingredients and recipes, using two styles of assessments: Knowledge-check and an interactive activity that allows users to generate their own recipes. I will include a slide before the video that summarizes the content of the lesson.

The initial project proposal (Sexual Harassment) with peers showed me that I was following the right path. I felt that the prototype storyboard first-build were too basic, but then I realized that the iterative framework is useful for continuous improvement of the learning experience and allows flexibility to make adjustments to ensure the achievement of the learning outcome. Providing feedback to peers’ prototypes not only felt like I was helping out sharing my knowledge; It was a good chance to realize if my prototype was compliant with the rubric. After reviewing received feedback on prototype, I learnt that there are infinites improvement possibilities. Also, it was important to get peers feedback because it is normal to miss important considerations. All this helped me make the change of direction from my initial project to the current one (The Chilean Completo) easier, more flexible and smoother. The solution was in simplicity: Less is More.
