4 Working Proof
The working proof gives opportunity for the Implementation stage to test out an interactive activity to test and/or ask learner to recall information from current content. This prepares the learner to obtain the important knowledge of what to do if having challenges logging in to the REDCap platform. We have found we have learners who will skip over introductory information about the platform and then will get stuck trying to log-in into the REDCap platform. By having a specific short module on Logging-in to the REDCap with a specific content area for Troubleshooting (to include a recall activity that helps with implementing the tips) will decrease the learner’s challenges getting started.
Sample Interactive
I built a “Drag a word” interactive element in H5P. I have never used this tool before so I only experimented with one question. I pulled the statement/question from the Knowledge Check activity that I built in our LMS in a Matching interaction with four Log-in Troubleshooting Tips that were discussed in a module near the beginning of the REDCap Reward Tracker course.
E-learning
I am currently using Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise for the authoring tools to create our e-Learning courses. I am self taught in just the last year and have found it to be a great tool that fits our needs well. I create most of our eLearning courses in Storyline as we have audio, videos, links to documents, etc. which gives the flexibility to embed, edit, and format these elements. It is also a blank slate which has taken me some time to learn triggers, layers, timing placements, etc. I still have so much to learn to make the courses more engaging and accessible in a more efficient way. After I create the courses, I publish them as SCORM files to upload to our external LMS.
