Assessment Techniques and Tools
- Interactive Exercises within module – short questions or activities that will ask the student to directly apply knowledge to scenarios or provide personal insights into how they might apply the information delivered in the module. These will be focused at giving students an opportunity to practice the skills we want them to demonstrate upon completion of the training.
- Identification & Matching exercise – have students read a sample job description and then identify the KSAs relevant to the job description, then have students match the KSAs to specific experiences that evidence the KSA
- Reflection/Guided Analysis – ask students to provide their own ideas/thoughts about concepts covered in the module, for example: provide an example resume bullet and ask student to analyze what is good/bad about the bullet based on the elements of the STAR Method
- Final Project – student preparation of professional document will be evaluated by staff according to rubric that evaluates the proficiency of the student’s performance based on their application of specific concepts to their documen
- Post-Training Survey – students will be asked to reflect on their experience and share what they found to be most helpful, how they will apply it in the future, the personal value they derived from the information and experience, how their knowledge grew or changed from the experience
