Creative Course Adaptations

EarlyEdU courses are built with 10 to 15 sessions with lots of images, videos, and practice-based assignments. We want you to use our courses and make them your own. You can (and will) change the course to fit your institution and learners needs.  In this part of the guide, we showcase some of the variations that have been made to the stock courses.

General changes often made to courses include:

• Adding artifact assignments for CDA or NAEYC standards
• Changing CORP group assignments and discussions to whole class for small number of learners
• Changing Practice Quizzes to Graded Quizzes in Canvas
• Reducing the number of required assignments (and leaving remaining optional assignments for extra credit)
• Removing the final, capstone, or achievement project
• Turning off video capture assignments for preservice/high school learners
