Using the Multimedia Resource Glossary (Taxonomy)

The Multimedia Resource Glossary is the taxonomy we use when annotating assets. This includes all the keywords we add to each asset. The glossary aligns to the keyword drop-down menu on Webdam. Webdam users and content developers use the keywords as a way to find assets. They may also be refrerred to as search terms. Occasionally, the glossary/taxonomy will be updated. When this happens, updates will be communicated to annotators. Any printed copies of the glossary should be updated or replaced, when this happens.

Annotators reference the glossary frequently to ensure the proper keywords are being added to each asset. There is a table of contents included to help with navigating the glossary.

The glossary is organized by categories. Within each category, the search term is listed in the first column (left) and a brief description or definition is in the second column (right).
