Practice-Based Coaching Cycle

Our Practice-Based Coaching model has four components:

  1. collaborative coaching partnerships,
  2. shared goals and action planning,
  3. focused observation, and
  4. reflection and feedback.

The first component, collaborative coaching partnerships, represents the dispositions and strategies that define an authentic and trusting relationship between a coach and a client. The remaining components—shared goals and action planning, focused observation, and reflection and feedback—represent the implementation of strategies that lead to improvements in a coachee’s practice.
