  • There were some gaps in conversation where language was not used. The provider often watched and waited for the child to be ready for their next bite of food. Language used was often limited and short phrases that did not extend into full sentence.​
Teaching practice​ Use emotion words in full sentences. (“You tell me you’re ready to eat when you smile. You feel happy!”; “You feel tired and are ready for your nap.”; “You feel sad because Eva took the toy you were playing with.”; )​
