Before the Block

- Work with Block Admin to schedule: Lockdown, 2-month, 1-month, and regular workgroup meetings

- Attend SOMALT Tech Meeting

3-4 Months Before Block Start (Before Lockdown)

- Finalize WWAMI master schedule session order
- Finalize session titles and types
- Finalize Session Level Objectives (SLOs)
- Ensure all SLOs are linked to BLOs
- Assign USMLE content descriptors to sessions
- Finalize assessment plan
- Plan content creation/assign creators for each session (materials due 5 weeks before block)
- Ensure accessibility and bias reduction in content
- Work with admin to set up content-sharing system for Canvas uploads
- Plan meetings with Student Block partners

2 Months Before Block Start (Before Elentra is copied to the Regions)

- Work with admin to schedule Lessons Learned meetings

0–3 Months Before Block Start

- Address any changes via change management process

- Recruit faculty and patients for Seattle and assist with regional issues

5 Weeks Before Block Start

- Work with admin to schedule: skull sessions, post-assessment meetings, virtual office hours during block
- Submit completed session materials (pre-class, in-class, course packs, IRATS, videos, etc.)
- Complete course overview and resource materials (Block Intro, AMBOSS sets, drug lists)

4 Weeks Before Block Start

- Review Canvas before copy-out
- Notify admin of faculty for all sessions (including small group leaders)

1 Week Before Block Start

- Ensure drafts of all exams are complete

During the Block

- Ensure session leads attend all sessions
- Communicate regularly with students
- Hold office hours as needed
- Support students and accommodate needs

After the Block

- Submit grades by Tuesday after quarter ends (or sooner)
- Plan remediation (see remediation timeline)
- Review course and faculty evaluations (~3 weeks after block)
- Prep and lead Lessons Learned meetings (~3 weeks after block)
- Send response to student feedback (within 2 weeks after Lessons Learned: Looking Forward meeting)
- Present course changes and BLO updates at Foundations Committee meeting
- Complete textbook survey for next iteration (every January)
